I contacted Paul as we needed to replace our old boiler. He came out and looked at what we currently had and then made recommendations on what boiler we should go for. He came back to me within a couple of days with a detailed quote listing all items to be used and a complete cost. Once we had accepted the quote Paul arrived on the agreed day. Great professional! Paul has supported our heating needs since we moved in to our current house 11 years ago. He completely replaced a failing heating system with a brand new set-up that has kept us warm for a decade. The work was done quickly (we had no heating!), neatly and at a fair price. Since then Paul has attended for servicing and to move radiators when we have refurbed rooms very promptly. Paul has just fitted an upgraded Green IQ Vaillant boiler for us at a great price to his usual high standards and, as he is a Vaillant Mastertech engineer, it comes with a 10 year guarantee.

Excellent Advice, Work and Service

When we moved into a new property the old boiler was really struggling to cope. I called Paul from PJ Plumbing & Heating who visited and advised on a replacement Valiant boiler suitable for the size of my house and family.
His knowledge was excellent and we discussed various options. His price was good and the work was completed without fuss. My house was left clean and tidy.
Paul now carries out an annual service and has since done other work on replacing radiators.
I can highly recommend Paul and his company PJ Plumbing and Heating.

Prompt and efficient service of P.J plumbing and heating

Very prompt and efficient service.
Had a problem with the timer on my boiler, the engineer came out and tested everything thoroughly and then advised us to purchase a new dial. He gave us a price for all the work, which we accepted. And later the same day he returned with the parts and finished the job. Very polite, clean and tidy.
I would recommend him to anyone.

Paul was recommended to me as I needed to replace an old system boiler (42 years old!) with a new combi. Great service from the first visit through to the completion of the work which also included removing the hot water cylinder, running new pipe work into the house and installing a new radiator.

Combi boiler replacement

P J Plumbing & Heating fitted a new Vaillant combi boiler last year. This meant relocating the boiler to a new position to comply with current regulations in an old building. Paul Hathaway’s assessment of the job was very thorough and competent. The work was planned 6 months ahead and went without a hitch and on time. The quote was very fair and shamed the estimates of other larger contractors. I can highly recommend this company for this type of work.

We had a new boiler & radiators fitted . From the initial quote & great advice ref the new radiators we found Paul to be very professional. He turned up on time every day & treated our home & us with respect & quietly got on with the job. We were particularly impressed when after he had fitted some radiators he noticed a small blemish on them.He pointed it out to us and arranged for the supplier to replace them. He said he wanted his work to be up to the standard he’d want in his own home which is a great ethos.I’m not sure many other plumbers would have done this, particularly as it meant extra work for him. He left our home clean & tidy and ensured that the old radiators & waste were taken away . He had to prompt the scrap man but if Paul promises to do something he does it. We have a ten year guarantee on our boiler so Paul is going to service it every year . We would throughly recommend Paul.

Very Honest gentleman

I found Paul the most honest plumber I have ever found. He told me what was wrong with the boiler and what was there best route and what could keep going wrong. We bought a new boiler but not because Paul tried to sell us one. The install was fantastic. Very conscientious for our surroundings and a very witty young man. Thank you Paul. Highly recommended.

Brilliant service, highly recommended.

We found Paul through the Vaillant site being an Advance Mastertech Vaillant installer, and it showed.
Paul managed to get our boiler fitted fast as we were isolating and have vulnerable family members, his quote was very competitive and the boiler was fitted in one day, albeit a long day but all went well and he even sorted a couple of existing CH problems we had at the same time, cannot recommend Paul highLy enough, brilliant and friendly service…..top notch

A first class service

Paul Hatherley put himself out to help us when we were in dire need and couldn’t do enough for us. He was very professional and gave us expert advice. Sadly our old boiler was just not repairable due to lack of spare parts; it was about 40 years old! We asked Paul if he could supply and fit a new boiler which he subsequently did. The installation was trouble free and we are delighted with the outcome. At no time did we feel under pressure to buy this or that, as often happens these days; it just felt right. Would I recommend P J Plumbing to anyone else – of course I would.

If you’ve got a problem call Paul!!

Called Paul this morning as problems with my cooker hob since yesterday. Paul turned up within a couple hours of the call got to the bottom of the issue quickly and has offered sound honest advice and will be coming back to fit the new hob when I’ve got it! Such a friendly down to earth guy and definitely not put to make a quick buck or rip you off! I can highly recommend!

New heating system.

We asked PJ Plumbing for a quote to upgrade our heating system. Paul took us through our options and was very thorough in explaining the removal of the old system, the repositioning of the boiler upstairs in another room and it’s installation including new radiators etc. Although we have never used a combination boiler and we’re a little nervous of the idea. We are very pleased with our new boiler.

There were some unforeseen issues during installation that meant Paul and his assistant worked an additional day, all within the original quote. The work was done in a very professional way and everything looks great.

We have already recommended PJ plumbing to our friends and neighbours and plan to use them for all our future needs.
